CFL its been a while Aug27- Sept 1

August 27- September 1, 2008
BC losing in Montreal isn’t the end of the world for the Lions. They are still a damn good team at 4-5, or is it an extremely lucky team at 4-5? 5 turnovers, 3 fumbles and 2 ints add to that playing on the road, and they didn’t get blown out? Really lucky.
This game was called the game of the year and it came down to three goal line stands for Montreal to take the cake. This was a supposedly very good Montreal team playing at home with a nearly full roster. Mark Trestman is going to open the door to more coaches coming up here who are offensive minded, he is that good. Now if that line still weren't a little soft they would be hell. And AC is completely in tune with the offense Trestman is putting down. I guess the prairie offense Marcel installed did not go over to well in COSMO- Montreal. Its kinda like an ADT alarm sometimes it works. The only person missing was all-star Randee Drew for the AL’s. After the nail biter now I’m not so sure if the AL's are all that anymore. Great teams go to work at home. Great teams get busy when its time to battle against the other big kids in the yard. Whatever happened to Home Field advantage.
BC is a total enigma. BC shows signs of brilliance and then it gets about as tired as one of Randy Jackson’s go to lines. The bad thing for the league is BC can beat every team in the league by 14 points and if it crosses over to the EAST it’s a wrap because the East is as Jim Rome would say, “STRUG-GA-LING.”
This was Buck Pierce’s second start of the year since June and it looked like he’s been getting virtual reps at home on the Wii. But didn’t Buck look smooth Friday night? 406 yards passing, and had 38 completions. BUT he had 2 PICKS, and that lame assed botched handoff which sealed the game for Montreal was a total sin,( sorry religious right ). At times he was so smooth he looked like he had been starting all year. He went up over the top, scrambled well, and handed the rock out like Jay and Silent Bob hand out tree. Great individual deeds aside, football law says, “you cannot win a game committing 5 turnovers.” You win committing 5 turnovers and Montreal doesn’t deserve to be first place in any division except maybe a blind powder puff league on whore Island.
Parity is a bad. 8 teams and not one is truly dominant? Dominant teams in the CFL are like a hot female rocket scientist they really don’t exist.
